IRS Launches New Site for Comments on Forms

The IRS, on August 6, announced a website ( by which comments can be submitted to the Department of the Treasury about government forms. The intent is to reduce the burden of these forms, in the context of mandates of the Paperwork Reduction Act (hence, the PRA in the address) As the pilot project, the IRS is seeking comments on Form 1023 (the application for recognition of exemption for organizations requesting recognition of IRC § 501(c)(3) status).
